Sending Transcripts:

Students applying to NC schools using CFNC or the school's specific website can use their CFNC.org account to send their transcript. Go to http://www.cfnc.org and log in to your CFNC account. Next, click apply to college at the top of the page. Click on the orange application hub button on the right of the page. Click the "request high school transcript" button on the right of the page. Finally, look up your college and follow the instructions. This initial request gives you the option to have your final transcript sent to the colleges or universities you've selected by CFNC. Students will need their Student ID to request the transcript.

Students who use the Common Application for colleges will have their transcripts sent over by their counselor who is linked to their account  (www.commonapp.org).

If you are applying to a college outside of North Carolina and not on the Common Application, you can request a paper or electronic copy of your transcript by completing this Orange County schools online request form. Please allow at least one week for your request to be processed.

Sending Test Scores:

Orange High School does not send any test scores to colleges and universities. You must send your test scores directly from the test companies, collegeboard.org for the SAT or act.org. Log into your account, click on your test, and then “Send Available Scores Now.” Enter the colleges you wish to send your test scores to and choose your scores to send. To send the scores after you've taken the test to your colleges, you will have to pay a fee ($12 per school with the SAT, $13 with the ACT). If you register for either test using a fee waiver, as of September 2018 you will be able to send your score reports for free as well.

When you initially register for your exams and up until a few days after you take your test, you have the opportunity to enter four colleges to which your scores will be sent for free. Save money, take advantage of this opportunity, and be sure to enter schools you are interested in as you register for your tests!

If you have already taken the ACT at Orange and need your ACT ID in order to access your ACT.org account, please contact your counselor.
