Park - NC State

What is it: Four year, full-ride to NC State with enrichments activities, trips, mentorships, and more

​

What they look for: Seniors applying for fall, first-year admission to NC State that demonstrate outstanding qualities of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

​

How to apply: Submit application for NC State then apply for the scholarship by 11/1. Check park.ncsu.edu for additional application information and let Ms. Butner/your counselor know you are interested in applying

​

*must be endorsed by counselor or yourself by 10/15

Levine Scholars Program - UNCC

What it is: Four year, full ride, merit based scholarship. Provides students with funding for 4 summer experiences (internships, outdoor education, and international trip) and support during your time at UNCC

​

What they look for: Students should have a passion to make a difference as the scholarship focuses on civic engagement and service

​

How to apply: Let Ms. Butner or your counselor know you are interested so you can be nominated (you can also self nominate) by the nomination deadline (10/8), submit your UNCC application, then submit your scholarship materials by 11/16. Check the Levine scholars website for more information.

Cheatham-White - NCCU

What is it: Merit based scholarship that fully covers all costs to college (tuition, international travel, laptop, study abroad, housing, etc) and costs for summer opportunities

​

What they look for: Students who show strong leadership, involvement in extra curricular activities, and a strong commitment to service. Must have 4.0 GPA.1280 SAT score or 28 ACT score are preferred but not required for Fall 2022 applicants 

​

How to apply: Submit application to NCCU, get a nomination from Ms. Butner, your counselor, or yourself by 11/15, and submit the scholarship materials by 12/15. Check the Cheatham-White scholarship page for more information

EC Scholars - ECU

What is it: Merit based scholarship that provides four years of tuition paid for, $5K/semester, internships, and trips to Charleston and DC

​

What they look for: Students who pursue excellence in every endeavor and seek to grow as engaged and purposeful citizens. Honors college ECU students, minimum GPA of 3.5 unweighted or 4.0 weighted, 

​

How to apply: Submit your ECU application by 10/18, finish honors college and EC scholars application by 11/15. For more information check the EC Scholars website.

Morehead-Cain Foundation - UNC Chapel Hill

What is it: Four year, fully-funded merit scholarship for students of the highest caliber. Includes tuition, room and board, summer experiences, and a network post college

​

What they look for: Students who are motivated, courageous, have a lifelong desire to learn, are dedicated to collaboration, wellness, and persitance

​

How to apply: Must be nominated by a counselor or self-nominate by 9/15 (let Ms. Butner/your counselor know if you are interested), complete UNC Chapel Hill application before 10/15, scholarship application due 10/15. Check the Morehead-Cain website for more information
